    this was the mostly plainly conservative framing and response i’ve ever seen.

    imagine being a woman in that delusional misogynistic fantasy world… i feel like her whispered terror spoke more of the reality of what must be her own internal hell, then having any connection to the words she was reciting.

  3. The Mitt Romneys and John McCains of the old Republican party are being replaced by whatever that was. They and their voters made that bed and now they gotta sleep in it.

    If you’re a Republican voter and you watched that speech by Biden. Forget the speech impediment and flubs and his general message. He’s by no means a terrific orator but man, after watching it, they have to be a little envious, right? Biden did a really good job.

    She deserves whatever humiliation she’s about to endure.

  7. I’m trying to watch it. It’s so cringe. I have to pause every few seconds because it’s just so weird, and it’s hard to breathe with the pillow in my face.

    I don’t know why, but she reminds me of the TV show “The Following”. She could be a character in that.

  21. It’s astonishing that the Republican Party somehow continues to exist. I can only attribute it to decades of erosion in the American education system and their access to enough money to preempt people’s ability to think for themselves. In a logical, modern and data-driven world, they would not exist.

  29. From what I’m aware of Sen. Britt, she is a fairly well accomplished attorney in private practice who worked in various positions for Sen Shelby off and on for the better part of twenty years and was handpicked by him to succeed him upon his retirement.

    That caliber of a professional did not show whatsoever and frankly she should be ashamed of herself.

  32. Obamas response to one of Bush’s state of the unions was the first time I saw him give a speech. This could of really catapulted her career forward if her delivery has been better
