So she’s now a victim of the “scream loudly and jump on every bandwagon possible” mentality that she’s spent the last decade bringing on and fostering? Damn shame that is.
I don’t necessarily think she’s lying but there’s always more to the story. More than likely she was told she’s viewed as “Out of touch with modern opinions” and the only reason you hire Sharon is so she can give opinions. She’s also old and Ozzy is old and staring down forced retirement. Her relevancy in pop culture has waned. Why hire a 70 year old that fewer and fewer viewers recognize (as a celebrity, not a knock on her appearance) to spout old outdated opinions when you can hire 25-50 year olds that viewers know to do a similar job.
Her whole schtick was always “telling it like it is” but these days that’s been largely reframed as what it really is…being an asshole. In the music world most people who are millennial and older know that she’s the reason Ozzy has stayed alive all these years but they also know her reputation as Ozzy’s manager is full of manipulative and vindictive tactics that make her a nightmare to deal with.
