On the face of it, at least, this seems like the just transition in action?
There are not enough renewables jobs for people to go to yet. Grid connections for offshore wind won’t be ready for any significant capacity until early/mid 2030’s so even if investment from developers gushed in it would not matter.
Livelihoods and skills will be lost in their tens of thousands until then.

I wonder what percentage of Oil workers in Scotland are actually Scottish! It might be lots!
