  11. Even if I absolutely agree that Ukraine should be given all the weapons it needs, one should never forget that politicians in opposition always say what they think will win them votes. So what Mr Merz is saying is nice, but he is not the one who can decide but he hopes for votes. How he would decide if he were chancellor is another story.
