9MAR24 – Taganrog, Russia – 40+ drones allegedly attacked a repair and refit site for Beriev A-50 AWACS aircraft used by the Russian Air Force, an A-50 being spotted there recently. The sustained attack reportedly lasted over an hour.

When I read that they’re starting [A-50 reproduction in Tarangog](https://www.twz.com/air/russia-building-more-dated-a-50-radar-planes-is-desperate-but-may-be-necessary) and, on OPEN SOURCE sat imageries, they snapped pics of several A-50s congregating on the tarmac, I immediately thought how tasty of a target it’d be for Ukrainian drones.

    Glad they jumped on it fast.

    Those A-50s are Russia’s probably best line of defense against an surprise areal attack.

21. Russian officials said that all drones in that attack got shot down but you can clearly hear the drone engine noise and no AD shooting noises.
