It really depends how complicated the study is, but its pretty trivial to automate studies. The problem is most of the people doing the studies are shit programmers.
I wrote some code this week to automate the distribution factor calculations required for the ‘heat map’ under FERC Order 2023. The only issue is the accuracy of the data is a function of n^2 – n. If you want a more accurate capacity number for a given bus, n has to increase.
