  1. Yes but think of the GDP and tax contributions he’s making. Doing jobs Brits don’t want to do, like being a criminal.

  2. Another lol case which highlights both Home Office ineptitude and the weakness of UK immigration law. Who fucking cares if he ‘didn’t know’ about the punishment for his crime when he naturalised? He committed the crime, his citizenship should have been withdrawn and then he should have been removed from the UK as a result.

Euro countries on the whole need a major tightening on who can apply to naturalise.

  3. The UK likes criminals for some reason. Still trying to figure out why, other than the destabilisation of society.

  4. “This demonstrates why we need urgent reform of the asylum system and human rights laws to allow the rapid and effective deportation of dangerous criminals,” said a senior Tory MP.

Well they’ve had 14 years to reform the system, so the thing we do need urgently is a General Election to get someone competent in power.

  5. We are so weak on fraud in general, I worked a benefit case last week, third country national has falsified tenancy to gain £60,000 over 3 years, there is likely more to find.

He will get a letter to repay it interest free, no criminal record, no fine, no credit rating damage, just an interest free loan from UK taxpayers.

We seem happy taking it up the ass and paying for the Vaseline too.

    Sad really.

  6. Does this even surprise anyone anymore? . We let all the foreign criminals in & shafted the genuine asylum seekers, like those in Afghanistan that helped us & we just abandoned them to the mercy of the Taliban ….

  7. Meanwhile in France, criminals can be deported in as little as 12 hours.

We really ought to take a page out of their book. Whatever the Home Office are doing clearly isn’t working.

  8. There isn’t much pressure to get rid of these people in the U.K. given woke do gooders like
SNP fans will fight tooth and nail to save them

  9. But the GDP is up lads! He’s enriching our society!

  10. Don’t care what he did or didn’t know, don’t care about his past.

He is a guest here and broke the rules.

    Back you go.

I’m fairly liberal but if you don’t want to play by our rules, you should get sent back.

  11. I’m not mad, just severely disappointed

    and mad actually

An upper tribunal immigration judge said the Home Secretary had failed to prove that Murati knew about the conviction when he applied for leave to remain in the UK as he had been tried for the crime in his absence

    >Murati arrived in the UK in November 1999 to claim asylum as a Kosovan fleeing the [civil war](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/destinations/europe/united-kingdom/england/why-uk-dont-know-english-civil-war-cromwell-royalist/) in [his country](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/kosovo/). He was accepted as a national of the then federal republic of Yugoslavia and granted indefinite leave to remain before being naturalised as a [British citizen](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2023/07/30/migrant-criminals-barred-british-citizenship-home-office/) in November 2006.

He lied about where he came from and is being rewarded for that?

  12. Nice. My wife has to pay a visa fee (nearly 4k£) so she could carry on living with me legally work and pay taxes.

  13. So Ja Rule wasn’t allowed entry into the country because he has a criminal record.. despite his concerts adding significantly to the local economies of his tour venues…

Meanwhile people like this are allowed to stay in the country? Most other countries would have deported him.

  14. What a piss take. Our country is being run a muck by nasty horrible ppl taking advantage. When will it end?

  15. Sadly people don’t know the amount of immigration fraud and exploitation that is going on everyday and has been for decades.

Honest people cannot immigrate to the UK. But if you’re willing to lie you’ll never leave.

The few stories that reach the news is barely even the tip of the iceberg.

  16. So criminals and rapists can stay, meanwhile people who might actually be useful either don’t want to or can’t come here.

    Brilliant.

  17. It’s so depressing how so many people thing justice should be two-tiered, where immigrants get punished harder than “natives”.

If a citizen gets 1 year for larceny, an immigrant should get 1 year for larceny. Not 1 year plus deportation. You know, equality.

  18. It’s almost like they’re trying to spark outrage and hatred.

  19. The UK legalised burglary and robbery long ago. Look at the statistics; they hardly ever investigate burglaries, and homeowners aren’t allowed to incapacitate the burglars so they can no longer harm anyone else.

  20. We are such a bunch of mugs. What else is left to be said that hasnt been said already?

  21. I incorrectly applied for a student visa in the wrong country (yes, the home office cunts actually care where you physically send your application from) and as a result I was pulled aside and treated like a fucking criminal at border control every time i landed in the UK for one entire year. Fuck the government and fuck the home office.

  22. This is why we need safe legal routes of entry and increase funding to our asylum system, so great injustices like this won’t happen. We need to make it easier for poor refugees like this to come over and make the process quicker so the Home Office can approve more poor refugees like this man leave to remain.
