I don’t think they understand why people voted for Boris. He was the blunt instrument that would smash through the subtle difficulties of Brexit to get Brexit off their news. And smash he did, leaving the massive problem of Northern Ireland untouched. A fudge, ironically, in the EU tradition.
Bringing Boris Johnson back to revitalise Tory fortunes would be the equivalent of bringing Jimmy Savile back from the dead to fix the BBC.
The only place he should be is Wormwood Scrubs cleaning the toilet of his cell mate Fat Bazza
I really hope there is a sea-change in politics to stop “bringing back” failed politicians as though they can save the day.
They failed for a reason. We can do better on all sides of the political spectrum than these old losers.
He could easily take the party back and probably win the election too. Uk Trump has propaganda and money on his side.
Never in a million years.
I think he’s extremely delusional, so he might try, but hes got absolutely nobody left barring a small section of the typical old white low IQ types.
Any right wing under 40s despises the man for COVID and Net Zero.
Cameron seems EXTREMELY likely imo though, and media have been suspiciously silent on him taking over, despite how obvious it seems, which basically means it’s happening but they want to minimise the run up.
Quietly dropped in as Foreign Secretary, Sunak probably told the party 6/9 months ago he’s leaving by the end of this year for Cali or India and they wanted to manage it slowly.
These Boris stories are ridiculous if genuine and for Boris, but make loads of sense if they’re trying to nudge people into a sense of relief when it’s Pig Fucker.
Hardly a secret. Anyone that follows politics knows he’s not done yet. It’s just a game of thrones for him. He’ll definitely be back.
I absolutely love how this proves the Conservatives have no clue what the issues their party is facing when it comes to the general public.
Every Tory voter I personally know will never vote for that man again purely because of party gate.
I don’t see why he would want to right now. Let Rishi the backstabber take the fall. Hold off for a few years to see how Labour do in power then when they inevitably end up unpopular in 5-10 years and the Tory party beg for his return he could make an effective comeback.
Please God, no. I’m no Tory but the only man I could see saving them at the minute is David Cameron. At least he was a left leaning Tory
He won’t be back. He can make way more money where he is.
Boris would fucking LOVE a stint as opposition leader. Fuck all to do, sniping from the sidelines, maximising whatever parliamentary grifts he can find.
They’ll be wiped out after the election, Sunak will bounce the day after, the party will lurch right with their Reform-pandering culture war bullshit and Boris is just the man to lead a party like that.
Last year I would have believed that Boris could win 2024 for the Tories, but now I don’t think anything could save them, the right are abandoning the Tories in their droves in favour of Reform, at best Boris could lead with a very slim majority but I think the Tories need to sit out the next 5-10 years
If he gets back into power, I’m sure I say this with ALOT of people – I will gladly leave Britain with no regrets.
Take back from who?
* The foreign big money backers who Boris has been in bed with since long before he became PM?
* The ERG who he courted and gave huge amounts of power and influence to?
* The hedge funds who shorted the pound during Brexit whom he never punished?
Seriously who is he taking it back from?
There is no way The Tories will change the leader again. Because they all know they’re out at the next election, and Rishi will just call an election now if he sniffs that type of rebellion.
If that fat turd ever did come back, I’d put money on a large percentage of the thick as pig shit British voters backing him.

Oh, just let it be now, alone…
That ship has sailed!

… and it’s a brilliant idea, of course.

Pretty much sums up the Tory party in 2024.
