I wonder if Hamas will decide to go full Leeroy Jenkins on the US troops once they arrive
It won’t matter when criminals and terrorists go house to house to confiscate the aid but at least they tried and the Sea Bees or whatever engineering/construction unit they send will get valuable field experience.
All else aside if this is successful it will be a pretty gnarly feat for the US military. What other countries can do that?
Boots on the water.
I mean besides being a humanitarian cause that we should get behind morally, this is FANTASTIC practice logistically.
Maybe these 1000 troops should help the IDF to destroy hamas faster, it’ll probably be much more efficient.
US logistics reign supreme

Thats Mulberries!!
I seriously wonder what would happen if Hamas launched several rockets at this port and killed dozens of American soldiers and UN workers. There’d probably still be people supporting Hamas honestly
This is wonderful good job usa
Combat Engineers are some bad motherfuckers.
You won’t find an infantryman worth his salt that doesn’t respect the heel out of them. The infantry are very conservative in regards to respect given to non-trigger pullers.
Why are our taxes going towards a port that Hamas will use for their terror attacks soon? Haven’t we learned from Afghanistan?
So my tax dollars are paying for a seaport for Hamas.
Delightful /s
Didn’t Biden just say in the union address that no US soldiers are involved in Ukraine or Gaza and it will remain that way?
This is honestly really cool. Happy to see aid getting to those who need it.
Oh nice, this wont go wrong at all!
I think this is a bigger win for the US than many are speaking about. Finally taking a more firm stand to help the Palestinian people (yes we need to stop sending weapons to Israel – but this is larger than I’d have ever thought we’d see), and also gives the modern military an excuse to practice/exercise it’s logistics might.
This type of shit is how the US enabled the invasion of Norther Europe in WWII. Get the current gen some training and show we can still accomplish pretty phenomenal feats of engineering when the country sets it’s mind to it.
So we pay for the bombs that get dropped there and pay for the aid that’s needed as a result. I say we cancel the first one so the second isn’t necessary?
I STRONGLY disagree with this, but as an American I’m fucked either which way. If I vote Democrat I’m voting for people who feed Hamas. If I vote Republican I’m helping Russia in Ukraine.
I need a politican who tells Hamas to go somewhere and puts their foot down with Putin.
