Sounds like a Russian plant to me.
Given Cameron’s record for screwing everything up and getting all major foreign policy decisions wrong as PM.
I’m going to suggest that he STFU here.
If he carries on like this I’m not voting for him next time.
Idk why we would even do that getting directly involved in a war that has nothing to do with us is not what we should be doing
In the end, what purpose would training Ukrainian troops in Ukraine, achieve? Flying and housing recruits out to here is not a major logistical challenge. Plus they’re safer here.
As for sending actual troops to Ukraine. In theory, I’m not against it but we gotta be a little realistic. We’re not going to send troops up against Russia in a war, without all of our assets available to protect our boys. Which isn’t going to happen as naval assets can’t currently transit the Bosphorus Strait. Our army is also low on supplies as we’ve been busy sending what we’ve got to Ukraine, so our troops will be ill-equipped to protect the Ukrainian border regions according to our own standards. Maybe in a limited way across, we could protect Western Ukraine and mass lots of supplies in a smaller area than desired and shoot down incoming missiles to cities like Lviv. But the downside of that is that it would look like many of the conspiracy theories Russia has promoted in regard to splitting Ukraine up.
Sadly, there appears an inevitability now for Ukraine. The west will only go so far, and then it will pull the plug.
Eh, he can oppose it all he wants – we already have some there, and Europe is starting to mutter about sending them. It’ll be out of his hands if it goes ahead. And it’s a *big* if.
Personally, I’m all in favour. Shove the orcs back in their filthy little box and put Russia in its place again. I’m not remotely afraid of the nuclear sabre-rattling.
Why is this guys opinions valid? The dumb idiot broke this country, quite because he didn’t have the guts to see it through, and still pretends to know why he’s doing?
I don’t think we should deploy troops yet but we do need to keep Ukraine fighting and Russia stalled in the East as long as possible
