When he announced what he was doing a few others jumped out to help him too, I just thought it was such a lovely thing to do!

  1. A damsel in distress and the Irish patriarchy swings into action.

  2. And we wonder why public transport is always late in this country, if it ever shows up in the first place!

  3. Ok, but what if I’m on my way to work on the bus and end up being late over this?

Or on the way to an important medical appointment or job interview that I end up missing.

I think this is wholly inappropriate for a bus driver to do on many levels.

  4. I can’t even tell you the number of times I’ve seen Bus Eireann drivers be solid – stopping pulling out and letting people on, letting people re-try their card later on in the journey if the machine has no signal, etc. A few months back, when I got to my destination and realised I left my work phone at home, the driver wouldn’t even hear of me paying when I tried to buy a ticket back, just said it’s grand.

TransLink drivers would run people over if they thought they could get away with it.

  5. >a few others jumped out to help him too

And you took a picture, well done you

  6. Yeah this is the kind of delay I can get behind, what a lovely thing to see.

  7. Its nice you stayed on the bus and took a picture. Everything nowadays is a spectators sport .

  8. And no one called dublin zoo to report the panda driving around

  9. Meanwhile a surgeon on the bus, didn’t make it to hospital on time and all his patients died. ☹️
