Mads Mikkelsen has been in a lot of decent danish movies. Would recommend looking up movies he has acted in.

  2. Drengene fra Sankt Petri is an amazing movie about WW2

  3. “Adam’s æbler”, “blinkende lygter”, “de grønne slagtere”, all of the “afdeling q” films, “druk”, “men og høns” (its very weird but still a good movie, also it’s a little complex so it might not be a beginner film),

Action and thriller: “retfærdighedens ryttere”, “i Kina spiser de hunde”, “NordVest”, “Underverdenen”.

Drama(probably the most like the hunt): “Bænken”, “midt om natten”, “speak no evil”(it’s in english but still a good horror drama),

a little insane comedies I watched as a kid: “Terkel i knibe”, “rejsen til Saturn”, “ronal barbaren”

These are my favorite Danish movies

  4. You’d probably like Druk/Another Round and Festen/The Celebration

  5. If you like this film and the uncomfortable subject then ‘Festen’ (‘The Celebration’) by the same director is the natural choice. And it’s a great film. ‘Druk’ (‘Another Round’) also by the same director and starring Mads Mikkelsen is also great.

I also want to recommend ‘Pusher’

  6. Sorte Kugler / Black Balls. Terkel i knibe / Terkel in Trouble. It’s just really sad most of all these gem movies loses a LOT in translation. Most of the humour just isn’t the same, especially if they’ve been dubbed over as well.

  7. Duksedrengen

Ah ok den er nok lidt for dansk og de fleste her vil nok ikke kende til den.

  8. Harry and the butler.

An old film about humanity, friendship and finding your own way in life.
