Train services cut due to staff Covid absences

  1. Started a job in January where I have chosen to use the train, with it being a 30 minute train ride direct. And trains available 2 an hour.

    This journey now is one-change (platform change) with a 4 minute gap and reduced to one train an hour. This means that if the first train is more than a few minutes late, I would then have to wait an hour for the next at the changeover station. Also the return journey means waiting 30 minutes at the station.

    Meanwhile this is a 20 minutes drive door to door….

    At least I did triy to be good for reducing cars on the road

  2. C2C cut a number of peak time services effective today as a result of COVID. The last lot they cut never made a return either.

    Granted I know they’re in the shit financially but things are only getting worse
