  1. Edit: sorry, was looking at the wrong photo when I typed the lines below. Burn marks/maybe an oil slick was there before the attack. Looks like the A-50 was moved before the attack. Hopefully to the interior of the hanger
~~Looks like there’s burn marks where the A-50 was in the before-the-attack photos. The burn marks aren’t in the earlier photo. If it was hit and burned, the russians could have quickly moved the plane inside the hanger after the attack to hide the extent of the damage~~Hope they can get some video of the damage on the inside of the hanger.

Also hope the Ukrainians hit it again and burn it to the ground.

  2. BDA is difficult to assess here, especially with the large buildings. Often times, it appears there is little damage. However, in previous air strikes in Libya and Iraq, buildings appeared to have little damage but inside them was a complete mess if not destruction of interior. Granted the Ukrainian UAVs have small charges, but once they get inside – those charges can reek havoc to aircraft, machinery and personnel.

Still, I wish we could have seen that A-50 and other aircraft smashed to bits outside.

  3. It was a damn good attack. Hopefully they did some damage inside the buildings! This is a major facility for them, so even if they decide to move all this work somewhere else safer, hopefully that sets them back too.

  4. No visible damage which is disappointing, but the up side is that they will have to go over those airframes very carefully to make sure they’re airworhty. So that will take time.
