  1. November 2023? Yes I would eat it. Was there anything wrong with the tin?

  2. You’ll be totally fine, canned food can often last 5 or more years past the best before date

  3. Tinned haggis keeps for years after the use by date. Unless it attacks you coming out of the tin you’re fine.

  4. It’s a best before not a use by, and it’s tinned. If it looks okay and smells okay then go for it.

  5. Best Before date (BBE) just means it’s better before that date, but we’re not that far over.

If the can is bulging or lets out a hiss when you open it then best left alone.

There’s a guy on YouTube that’s eaten army rations from the Boer War and hasn’t died, so you should be fine.

  6. Reddit doesn’t really have a lot of skin in the game regarding your best interests here. There are one of three possible outcomes from people telling you it’s fine:

    1) You’re told it’s fine – it is fine – yay, Haggis!
    2) You’re told it’s fine – they thought it was, but it turns out that it wasn’t – you lose.
    3) You’re told it’s fine – they knew it wasn’t fine – you lose.

Given…the nature of Reddit…Good luck with however this turns out 😅

  7. Jesus, I didn’t know ye Scots were living like this. We’ll try divert some of the Yemeni Aid towards getting you guys a few hot meals.
