1) she’s genuinely ill as fuck and they’ve absolutely arsed up trying to hide it. My parents been in the medical field all their careers and are perplexed as to what elective surgery would require 2 weeks in hospital unless it was some massive cancer op or a bowel resection for something like crohns. If it was the latter, why not just say.
2) Prince William has been having an affair with a wheel barrow and it’s all kicked off.
3) sort of like the first but the image was just touched up by someone who doesn’t know how to photoshop well and now everyone thinks she’s secretly a lizard

I’m still erring on the assumption there’s nothing actually wild going on and she has just had a fairly serious health issue but has chosen to keep it private, which I completely support her right to, but the way they’ve gone about it has certainly been weird at points.
I don’t think it’s photoshopped to an extent where none of them were together when this was taken but it’s maybe been edited in certain bits that have not come out well in the final edit.
That being said, I’m sure the conspiracy theorists are having a field day

The people who are so into the royals they drink their tea from a mug with old Liz’s face on who are out defending them to the hilt no matter what will, if a coverup of even minute proportions emerges, not be pleased about being made to look the fools. I don’t see how the Royal Family can reasonably expect anyone to unquestioningly accept anything they have to say in future, and unquestioning acceptance is why we still have a monarchy in the first place.

If she has had a hysterectomy then her body will have been forced into early menopause now – is it feasible she would just want time off to adjust to hormones etc and not return to public life until she’s feeling herself again? The boring but exceedingly likely explanation is that this is just a bad composition job by the picture editor. Catherine being in recovery from a major operation likely doesn’t look her usual radiant self, and someone messed up on combining her best picture with her kids’ best shots.
Whilst I’m aware that all the speculation is as much a meme as it is genuine concern, it really does say something about our society’s changing attitudes towards privacy and dignity. We live in such an attention seeking age that it’s inconceivable to so many for a well-known person to *want* to be unseen and private for months. People can’t handle the idea.
She’s had a brutal surgery, she likely looks and feels like shit and will do for several months. It’s hard to even *sleep* properly for a while after major abdominal surgery. They made the first mistake by even entertaining the speculation and deciding to issue a photo, bowing to the pressure of shitty gossip. The second mistake is the shitty photoshop. Leave the poor woman be.
