Hello friends, i have a question about buying a ticket for the concert trough Kleinanzeigen. Seller wants me to pay by PayPal and send me the ticket via mail. The profile looks legit but I’m really not sure. Could this be a scam?

  1. The safest way to buy on Kleinanzeigen is obviously to meet in person and exchange item for cash. There’s always a risk buying things on these kinds of sites, but paying with PayPal and **not** using Friends & Family lowers that risk a bit as you can make a claim if the seller doesn’t end up sending you what you bought.

  2. Could be a scam but I can also imagine it to be genuine. You have to decide for yourself if you can risk the 31€. PayPal without the Friend option gives you a bit security about that.

    Personally I would risk it

  3. Could be a scam but might also be legit.

Depending on the ticket and if you can get it somewhere else. I dont think the foreign scammers know muenchenticket very well. So if the tickets were also available at eventim or ticketmaster, it would point me more to the legit side, as a scammer would prolly pick a more known site.

  4. I once sold flixbus voucher codes to some Italian guy living in Italy who found my ad on Kleinanzeigen. He offered to transfer the whole amount and I’ll give him codes afterwards. I declined and said just to send enough money for 1 code and verify if it’s legit first so that he won’t get scammed by me. I had to teach him this.

But I got scammed out of 400 euros on the same site a year earlier. So both kinds of people exist there. Better be safe than sorry.
