  1. I have two friends who did after the apprenticeship Lokführer, if you’re interested here the requirements of the RhB

    >Requirements for career changers:
    >- Completed three-year apprenticeship (EFZ) or high school diploma (Matura)
    >- Minimum age at the start of employment 19 years
    >- Very good oral and written German language skills
    >- Medical and psychological fitness (clarifications will be made during the recruitment process)
    >- Impeccable criminal record
    >- High sense of safety and responsibility and willingness to work irregular hours
    >- In possession of a cat. B

    The salary is from kununu between 71’200-95’000 CHF.

  2. RhB pays less & requires you to stay overnight in other towns sometimes.

    Not to mention way worse scheduling than other operators.

    If you have a Lokführer license (B100/B) it makes no sense to stay with RhB.

    Life is way more chill at Thurbo, SOB or BLS Cargo.
