Hi all,
I signed up for a one day job through Zenjob (mobile app to look for day and temp jobs). I turned up for my shift but the boss says there is no work and he didn’t book the shift. He says he doesn’t understand how all these apps work. He says I won’t get paid also, hence.
But anyway, I have the signed contract and proof that I do have a shift. Do I still get paid?

Update : Apparently the chef employer says they cancelled their contract with Zenjob last week, hence it isn’t their mistake. Still waiting to hear from Zenjob

You should get paid. This is called Annahmeverzug in Germany.
I worked with zenjob a couple of times (as a student) i usually got payed even when if were sent home earlier…
