  1. How spread out are the Russian units on Russian or foreign territories? How many of each one of these types are close to the Ukrainian borders? What types and how many ships does Russia have on the Black Sea?

  2. None of the keys compared: ballistic missiles, satellites, drones, Electronic Warfare, artilery’s range, SAMs, etc… Ukraine ir pretty much f*ed

  3. Russia cant win a conventional war with the western powers, their economy is about the same size as italy.

If they do invade, Nato should give them a bloody nose and then they will withdraw. (which is what should have happened re Crimea)

Putin will not do the one thing that guarantees he loses power.

  4. Whilst charts like this are very pretty to look at, they are very misleading in the impression they give.

For example, this chart implies the entire Russian military will face off against the entire Ukrainian military, which isn’t the case.

For example, [approximately 100,000 Russian troops are deployed near Ukraine’s borders](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-60048395), not the 3 million on the graph.

In addition, any assault by Russia further into Ukrainian territory will be met by heavy resistance, and therefore a smaller force may be able to hold a larger force off.

So take this chart with a pinch of salt.

  5. Crap infographic telling us nothing about the relevant force posture. Waste of painted pixels.

  6. Proof that Ukraine can easily invade and conquer Vladivostok in a week!

Russia has to stand up against this treat. /S

  7. Such lists are meaningless as they’re giving impression as if all Ukrainian and all Russian forces will engage each other, the list is also meaningless on another level as it just lists the number of tanks, planes, vehicles without naming their models because Russia here would enjoy not just quantity but quality advantage in equipment.

  8. Hopefully Ukraine has been stocking up on Javelins and stingers. I don’t really understand why tanks and aircraft are a thing anymore.

  9. Legend says one cannon icon = 500 artillery pieces.

Russia has 4465 artillery pieces and they are represented by 4 cannons. WTF?

  10. One thing to add great amount of Russian air force and tanks are old cold war models some even older than that?
It’s possible Ukraine has same problem but t55s are equivalent to one rpg, mine or heavier rock
But it is unlikely that they would/could use all that force for invasion

Also Ukraine might be forced to get nukes again
Since Russia is violating agreements made 1994
*Budapest memorandum* and deployed nukes on Crimea (which is still recognized as part of Ukraine). Idk what could USA and UK do since they were part of that deal.

  11. The ships and (dated) tanks aren’t that important. The troop count is also big enough for Ukraine to comfortably defend itself. The only real but huge issue in this comparison is Russian air superiority.
