Wild moment extreme winds rip entire roof off New Zealand home #shorts
Intense winds tore the roof off a home in the New Zealand suburb of Cobden, security footage from March 4 shows.
Dean French posted this footage to Facebook with the caption: “Tornado in Cobden, Greymouth this morning. Home owner is okay, but shaken.”
According to local news reports, New Zealand’s MetService said the damage was more likely caused by “straight-line winds”.
Gusty winds battered the south island on Monday after the MetService issued severe weather warnings and watches.
