Real Madrid have always united the best players worldwide and simultaneously maintained a strong Spanish core.

But the representation of their Spanish players in the national colours has not invariably been a common occurrence, especially compared with their age-old rivals, FC Barcelona.

Now, as per MARCA in Real Madrid, there is dissatisfaction growing with the Spanish Federation owing to the lack of attention their players receive.

The Merengues feel that they pay too much attention to Barcelona’s talents, using cases of Ansu Fati, Lamine Yamal, Pedri, Alejandro Balde, and Gavi, who were given chances to feature with La Roja at an incredibly young age.

Meanwhile, the opportunities showered upon Barça’s talents by the Spanish Federation contrast with the treatment Real Madrid players receive, such as Brahim Diaz.

Indeed, Brahim, who scored on his debut with Spain, has been cold-shouldered by the team ever since and only recently has entered their crosshairs.

Now, with the Euros coming up in the summer, Real Madrid will be hoping to have greater representation in the international tournament.

With Brahim seemingly out of contention after reportedly opting to play for Morocco, the likes of Joselu, Dani Carvajal, Dani Ceballos, and Nacho Fernandez will be hoping to make the cut for the Spanish national team come summer.

  2. I am not dissatisfied because our players are somehow prone to injuries on their international call-ups.

    If they don’t get called up, they don’t get injured.

  3. I am totaly fine with it, as a Real fan who isnt spanish. For me all being called up for NT does is increase likelyhood of an injury and tires players out.

  4. Doesn’t matter we have the French and Brazilian NT on our squad which are both better than Spanish NT

  5. Regardless of this being a good thing for Real Madrid, we can’t deny there’s a certain preference over other club’s players in the Spanish Federation. The fact that the National coach said today that “he doesn’t call players” is a total lie. We can all see the preference, Spanish players playing for Madrid have it harder than others to get a call to the National team. It really shouldn’t be this way but we can, once again, see how hated Madrid is in Spain 🤷🏻‍♀️

  6. Who cares – what Spanish players aside from Carvajal would realistically warrant a call up? Brahim would have been borderline regardless – non starters for their clubs rarely get called up for national teams like Spain.

  7. One more reason to dislike the Spanish NT for me. I hope Brahim does amazing with Morocco .

  9. We are seeing this as a madrid fan, but there has to be a reason why they didn’t chose brahim I mean what is the sporting logic or rational if you look from spain football team perspective? I don’t follow them

  11. As a culer and fan of the spanish NT sad to see brahim go to morocco. But their building something great it seems so best wishes. I would have preferred him so lamine could get rest, not overplayed
