  1. “several types of evidence that implicate the concept of official acts for purposes of presidential immunity.”

I suppose one of those is having the ability to silence people in order to become the President in the first place. Yeah, give me the Public Defender please!

  2. He wasn’t president then. He’s not president now. WTF?

  3. Someone get this guy into a nursing home at least, if no one has the spine to put him in prison.

  4. Paid her off before taking office. Fuck the fuck off trump, you fat orange weasel creature.

  5. As if fucking a pornstar and paying her with campaign money was part of the presidential duties…

  6. Why did Ford Pardon Nixon if presidents have immunity?

  7. Trump thinks he is a king and so is immune to all charges, past, present, and future.

  8. Now the Supreme Court must delay things several months to determine whether total immunity actually attaches BEFORE someone becomes President.

  9. And somehow his base can’t recognize he’s saying that he still DID the crimes, he just shouldn’t be held accountable for them (according to him).

  10. I love that he has no defense to any of these crimes he clearly committed and that his one, consistent argument against accountability is “I’m above the law.”

Somehow, despite the fact that most of these crimes happened in public and even his most ardent defenders don’t bother trying to argue the facts or that he didn’t do these things. Are we supposed to believe that a conviction would move the needle for his supporters and sycophants?

It’s such flimsy cover to say “well he hasn’t been convicted” to justify supporting or voting for him despite it being quite clear he’s done all the things he is accused of.

  11. Trump’s message is clear: We are no longer a nation of laws.

  12. “I was president for four years so anything I’ve done at any point in my life before or after was perfectly legal and fine because I was president and therefore god’s chosen immune boy.”

    -Trump probably.

  13. You mean where he gave hush money to the pornstar in his campaign for president?!?!

  14. This is the only line in the article that matters to the orange team: “Accepting Trump’s argument would delay the trial until the summer, if not later.”

  15. Arrrrrgh! And once this is delayed he will play off his many, MANY trials against one another. “You can’t try me in this period because I already have a trial happening then”.

It is the three stooges through the doorway strategy – and the infuriating thing is … it seems to be WORKING.

  16. First of all I don’t think presidents should have total immunity and second the hush money case happened before Trump was president so I don’t see how he can claim presidential immunity since he wasn’t president at the time it happened.

  17. How do Trump supporters reckon he’s innocent or “wrongfully prosecuted” when his defense in a majority of cases is literally that he’s immune so he can do whatever he wants?

I’m sorry, but that implies guilt and we all know it. So why is it ok for Trump to do these things? What if he had succeeded in tossing millions of Americans’ votes? What if his “fake elector” scheme had actually worked? What if his crowd had hung Mike Pence on January 6th? What if they had successfully stopped the certification of myself and millions of Americans votes for Joe Biden? Do you even consider the ramifications and the implications of such preposterous behaviors? What if he was able to lock up his political enemies? Did he not get elected by chanting “lock her up” referring to Hillary Clinton?

Am I the only one who sees the damage this guy has done to the USA?

  18. He’s a Lethal Weapon 2 caricature at this point. “Presidential immunity!” Just need Danny Glover to step in but he’s probably too old for this shit.

  19. Utterly frivilous. He already litigated this, lost, and dropped the appeal meaning the lower court ruling was final.

  20. I can’t wait till we no longer hear about this man every fucking day.

  21. he’s gonna be a convicted felon before memorial day. there is no delaying this anymore.

  22. I mean, can you blame him? The goddamn Supreme Court basically just gave him a free pass to use this idiotic defense for the next, what is it, three months?! There is no justice!

  23. So he’s arguing presidential immunity for actions taken before he was President.

    Fuck off.

  24. It’s just another delaying tactic. They know he doesn’t stand a chance of winning this.

  25. Jesus, how many times do I have to read about this piece of shit delaying a trial by claiming presidential immunity? Can we please get a blanket court statement saying this asshole can no longer claim this?

Goddamn, it’s so fucking tiring. Not that this human cancer continues to make the claim, but that our impotent system seems incapable of telling him to fuck off.

  26. When he paid her he wasn’t president and never had been. No way this applies
