Meanwhile, congressional republicans doing absolutely nothing productive, actually obstructing progress.
Edit: for clarity
The very same Burns that brokered [the Burns-Patrushev pact](https://www.newsweek.com/2023/07/21/exclusive-cias-blind-spot-about-ukraine-war-1810355.html)?
>”In some ironic ways though, the **meeting was highly successful,**” says the second senior intelligence official, who was briefed on it. **Even though Russia invaded**, the two countries were able to accept tried and true rules of the road. **The United States would not fight directly nor seek regime change, the Biden administration pledged. Russia would limit its assault to Ukraine and act in accordance with unstated but well-understood guidelines for secret operations.**
Of course that’d be “profoundly important crossroads”.
Not important enough to actually risk Dickwad losing power, though, as it turns out. After all, that’d be an escalation
We’ve know this. The next 2-3 months is going to decide this war. If in 3 months the US hasn’t done a thing and more isn’t sent, Ukraine drags their feet to mobilize, Ukraine isn’t walking away from this one. Also, a much larger confrontation is on the horizon if Russia takes Ukraine. By Nov the US could have a president in place that is a Russia asset and then….yeah he will let Putin do whatever he wants next
If you’re an American who wants your country to do more to help Ukraine, you can make a difference by pressing your government and holding demonstrations. You can also call Speaker Mike Johnson at 202-225-4000. We can coordinate over at r/ActionForUkraine. There’s also [a website](https://stopwarinukraine.com/support-ukraine-write-to-your-reps-in-congress/) to help make it clear that you support Ukraine. Feel free to spread the word as much as you can.
