20 Days in Mariupol featured a paramedic, Sergei, trying to save lives of his fellow citizens. He still does that. He is now a combat medic on the front line. Protect a Volunteer supports him and his team. See the comments for how you can help them and what we have done so far!

Last night 20 Days in Mariupol won an Oscar for depicting the horror Russia unleashed on Mariupol and Ukrainians.
In some scenes you see a paramedic trying to save the life of a small child. The child doesn’t make it unfortunately. That paramedic is Sergei. Sergei is now in the military and serves as a combat medic. He made it out of Mariupol and immediately enlisted.
Sergei’s team needs the support all teams need with equipment and vehicles. So far we have provided him a Garmin watch used for communication when signals are jammed, 2 winter coats, and gun cleaning patches. We communicate with him through Darya Zorka, one of the translators for the film and a close friend of his. She follows up with us and provides all photos and receipts.
If you would like to support Sergei, you can choose “Sergei’s Unit: 20 Days in Mariupol” on the Paypal Dropdown Menu at [protectavolunteer.com](http://protectavolunteer.com) Anything helps!
