What does this number on the heater tell me?

  1. The guy installing my heating said 55 is the normal. I reduced it it 50 to stop the hot water hurting my kids but he said I shouldn’t go any lower than that or you could get bacteria building up. I haven’t checked whether any of this is correct but that’s what he said.

  2. Try not to turn it way hotter than needed, save you some money.
You said you are not used to radiator heating, so my guess is not from a european country. Energy prices here are very high, so tune the heater to your needs by just heat it enough could save same euros.

  3. Depending on context it could also be minutest left till bomb explosion.

I mean, you could totally hide your classic timebomb display in the temps and the good guys never would know what hit them when they come to cut red cable but only see a slight temperature drop, because auntie Elise is using up all the warm water in her extended monstershowers.

  4. Is this a joke post?

The number on your boiler temperature display is the temperature in degrees celsius of the hot water it’s producing and sending round your radiator circuit.

  5. How much you score from the flying school in Harz… out of 50. Just joking it’s the temperature like the old Junkers in my building.

Now the landlady changed it to a boring Vaillant with no numbers but a rabbit head after breaking down last autumn.

  6. The temperature. If it’s not working (eg. blinking or something) then it might mean an error code at which point you should consult the manual which if you don’t have might be available somewhere online.
