A silverfish or papierfisch (which are a little bigger than silverfishes). Best you can do is keep the room clean (also from dust), dry and relatively cold (<20°C). I would also use an insecticide spray, that’s how I always got rid of them
Most likely it’s Ctenolepisma longicaudata or lineata.
EDIT: Alright, why the downvotes?
I can tell you what they are. Cute!
They mean you no harm. Just think of them as archaic room mates 🙂
They’re going to spread so take action asap
Completely harmless. A variety of silver fish. They appear to remind you to vent your room and clean the floor.
They are actually useful because they eat fungus and dust.
Most people saying they are harmless. Well to human I think, but to your clothes thought… They eat clothing material and leave small holes on it. They might ruin your favourite dress or bed sheets, for example. They also might eat books or your beloved food.
Remove them, clean your stuff asap. A sign that you have them around is also the presence of white cocoons that usually gets either hanging or stuck in corners just the one your picture shows.
It’s your new roommate.
Could be a Silverfish.
This dude is living near the Endportal.
I kill them wherever I see them. With some paper or slippers. Killing them with paper sounds a bit ironic to me now 😅
Don’t know, but if what to get rid of them, get a spider
This means u might get mould soon. U get to buy small silverfish traps. Silberfischen Köderdose. Just set it.
*kill it with fire*
Allow a few spiders to live in your room, they’ll take care of those little buggers.
That’s Harold. He’s mostly harmless, but don’t lend him money, he’s notorious for not paying it back. But otherwise he’s good for a laugh.
They are ancient and eat cellulose.
I actually quite like them I think they’re kinda cute… Dumb bastards though, I always try and rescue them when I find them stuck in the bathtub or the sink, then throw them outside, but they are terrible at clinging on to surfaces and just fall off when you try to pick them up. Did you know they can live for up to 8 years!? Fascinating.
Oh boy how much i hated this little b*stards. My building was infested with them with time i had a really complicated relationship with them. Me being scared turned into annoyed and lastly into being friendly towards them. I found them even in my bed 🙁 But they dont hurt people so you dont have to worry about it, i think they can only damage your furniture etc. (I’m finally free of them since i moved to 2 mins walking distance away to another building, and never even seen one of them in the last 6 months 🙂 )
Edit: Try not to kill them on white walls with so much pressure, they leave greyish stains. Thats why i learned not to kill them hahah
We had them too when we moved in, the solution was to use silicone to cover(tiles, floors) everything correctly. Ever since, I don’t see them.
These little assholes have been a complete nuisance to me. Destroying important documents and ruining several of my books. The only effective solution for me has been letting some spiders settle in and do their thing. Those leggy boys have managed to take the silverfish population at my place down to barely noticeable.
You’re not getting rid of them. You can reduce their numbers by keeping your room cold and dry, and using poison spray designed for these critters. But they never go away fully.
Realistically there’s no way you’ll ever be rid of them. Try and keep your rooms free of moisture and clean, and accept your fate lol. If there’s a large infestation it’s a sign that you have mould somewhere though, which would be bad for your health and needs to be taken care of.
I know you’ve been answered but there’s one more thing you should know:
There’s a *queen* somewhere in your walls. That’s where the little ones come from. The queen is about 2 feet long, has sharp fangs and feeds off human brains.
The little ones wait till your sleeping, sneak up your nose and steal little pieces of brain matter and bring it to mama. Been feeling less intelligent lately?
Watch out there is a silver fish nearby
Flamenwerfer?
Collect them and snack on them
As you’re living in Germany, a sign stating „no insects allowed“ hanging at the front door should be enough.
Put up a sign and inform them that they aren’t welcome.
Expel it from your room? You mean that you are not gonna give him your keys and leave? Wow you are brave
It’s called a “Huhrensohn”. It’s a common species here in Germany

I guess it’s a silverfish. Nothing to worry about. They love moisture abd are feeding on dust. So when it’s dry and clean they’ll leave.
Looks like a silverfish https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silverfish
