Incredible development. Hopefully not the last “shocking” change.
His performances against two mid-to-bad sides is not indicative of his quality in the most difficult international tournament there is. Recency bias is a problem, the lad has not been sufficiently productive or effective this season overall.
The right decision. Goretzka was truly fantastic on saturday, but that shouldn’t be enough to offset 2 years of mostly mediocre performances. The DFB needs to try something new in midfield. We also need to nip in the bud any possibility of Serbia making a move for Pavlovic.
Wow that’s interesting, I am happy seeing pavlovic getting called in the first team for Bayern and now he will represent Germany, all of that after being a ball boy in the Allianz Arena
I wish him nothing but the best
Makes a lot of sense looking at how Gore suddenly plays. Maybe Nagelsmann told him he won’t be part of the Euros should his form continue.
If he keeps playing like he did, he obviously has to be nominated but time will tell, if he can actually keep this intensity, I’m very sceptical.
Pavlo is an absolute no brainer of course.
I dont believe this is a longterm decision… i believe its mostly to finally cap Pavlo so he cannot change his mind and play for Serbia (it was a lot of discussions on the Serbian Sport channels that they are doing everything to turn his mind and come play for Serbia).
If the decision regarding his national team future weren’t on the plate I’d rather have Stiller take the spot tbh, but still happy for Pavlo of course.
Must really suck for Goretzka, but it is the right decision.
While Leon might be sad, thats a great opportunity for Pavlo. Fingers crossed this is true.
