David Furnish on Elton John’s upcoming projects and potential musical with his biggest hits #shorts

Obviously Elton did glenbury last year how did you top that what’s going to be happening this year I don’t think elton’s going to try to top glenbury you know he finished his he drew a curtain over his touring career I don’t think he’ll stop tour stop performing

Completely I think he’s going to take advantage of opportunities to do little shows now and again but he’s not going to tour anymore he’s he’s done that for 50 years and he’s enjoying being home with his family we’re launching two stage musicals this year a documentary on Disney plus um opening a photo

Exhibition at the VNA in May so it’s still very busy hasn’t exactly slowed down in the furnish John household on the front of a stage show are we going to get a musical with elton’s songs in it a catalog musical yeah something you know we’re always looking at it we

Haven’t I haven’t found anything yet that really I feel covers you know I I think if we wanted to do it we would want to do it in a way that was really Innovative and really exciting and different

Elton’s husband David Furnish revealed the news at the 32nd annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars viewing party, which raised a record £8.4million and was attended by stars including Ellie Goulding, Donatella Versace and Elizabeth Hurley.

David, 61, told The Sun: “A catalogue musical, we are always looking at it. I haven’t found anything yet that really covers… I think if we wanted to do it, we would want to do it in a way that was really innovative and really exciting and different.
