Idk if it was “shot down…” it obviously had an issue and crashed, but the region it’s in is further east than Moscow. AKA it’s like 400 miles from the front lines, i don’t think Ukraine has anything that can reach out that far. Will be good when more info comes out.
Looks like you have a problem with the # 1 engine there chief. Another piece of Russian junk hits the ground.
The last few Days and hours were really intense. Wonder whats going on right now. There have been some vital hits against Ukraine targets and now something big is going on at the russian border and in russia
Given how deep this is into russia a shotdown is unlikely unless friendly fire.
Did this happen today?
From a pro russian telegram group :
“There was a failure of a Russian IL-76 transport in Ivanovo Oblast (east of Moscow).
It seems that the crew evacuated the aircraft.
UPD:
During take-off from Severny aerodrome, the engine of an IL-76 caught fire.
Having made a circle, the crew tried to make an emergency landing back on the runway, but failed. According to revised data, there were 12 people on board – seven crew members and five passengers “
Hard to keep the engines working with subpar equipment.
Just for clarification, this was not shot down. There are 2 more different angles, in which you can see the engine fall off. But no actual explosion and the similar. It was just poor maintanence i’m guessing.
Russian airforces and navy getting smaller by the day
That is the kind of busy morning we like to see: 2 refinery burning, one IL-76, one power plant burning, incursions from pro-Ukrainian Russian troops in Russia
Planes can fly with one engine burning, I don’t think it went d…. Oh… ;D
If i was working on an airfield i would throw bolts into the engines too
All’s well that ends well!!! 👏👏👏
On a scale of one to 10, it’s fucked
Some sources say that a bird flew in the engine of the aircraft
Edit: I once saw a short documentary about the USAF crew assigned to oversee one of the largest aircraft graveyards in the U.S….these people spend every working day ensuring that RETIRED aircraft are kept in a state that allows them to be used for spare parts vital to working aircraft.
Looks like an engine fire. Parts and maintenance issues because of sanctions. Maybe a stinger?
Vlad & Ivan were smoking during the takeoff I guess.
“Thank god it wasn’t ours” – Boeing CEO
Fantastic
Why is it not able to fly with only one engine/turbine?
Edit: I just noticed the plane has 4 turbines and only 1 is burning?!!?
WAR ….
What air defense doing?
Mayday Mayday Mayday Blyat38 heavy to ground. Um Ivan drank the jet fuel and had explosive diarrhea. Blyat38 going down.
Shouldn’t the plane be capable of flight with 3 engines ? Assuming that other 3 are working of course.
There is nothing to conclude it was shot down, I mean for gods sakes it happened north of Moscow and it happened just now. But I do wonder considering the events of today it seems like quite the timing.
Partial credit to sanctions on critical parts here.
That’s a really long time to realize you are completely fucked, I hope they enjoyed the view.
Looks like the engine fire was put out as well. Unusual for that to send her down. Need to ask the guys over in r/aviation
A “shit’s very real” sight to see on your commute. Like the early scenes of World War Z
cant planes like this land with one engine
would it have to be over weight too? like i definitely know they train pilots for shit like this
like sure its not great but i think this is supposed to be fine right?
The engine fell off.
What aircraft maintenance doing?
It was not shot down it was a special military evac drill filled with ukranian hostages.
“aCtUaLlY you can CLEARLY see that the aircraft is merely taking part in an emergency exercise!” – The Russian MoD probably
There goes 50 million
Maybe they confused lefty and righty? Gotta righty tighty that stuff.
Engine failed, or bird drive. Looks like theyturned in to the failed engine… It looks like that’s why she went down
“evacuated” to the afterlife
I thought they had pulled a WW2 engine fire extinguishing by airspeed, but the reports say the crew bailed out, I assume the plane was already crewless by this footage
Bad to no maintenance equals lots more of these videos. And I’m ok with that

soo cinematic
The Russia MoD just published that there were 971 Ukrainian PoWs on board and also Budanov’s cat
But, the crew lived according to ayden

The fron….. err…. Engine fell off?
It’s a beautiful sight to behold
Sanctions + corruption + incompetence + lack of professionalism = boom
