Less than a month ago, my sister sent me a hand knitted scarf, a hat, and some cloth masks from Malaysia, in in total it’s worth less than 11€ (she declared it as MYR50), and I have received it two weeks later.

Today I have received a letter from FedEx, saying that I have to pay tax on it, amounting 28,36€. How is that possible?

19% VAT and a processing fee. Seems a bit high to me but it sounds possible
The processing fee I pay on stuff from the UK is €6. A €25 processing fee sounds extremely high.
Low value gifts are also theoretically exempt (although I almost always end up having to pay 🙁
The quality of you photo is so bad that I can not see the single cost. Can you list all cost here? I will check it for you.
