  1. It almost sounds to me like it was a political hit job. I don’t care how impressive Hur’s background is, never trust a Republican. They are always about party first and everything else second.

  2. From the transcript, Biden recalled the date (May 30th) on his own and someone else called out the year, apparently unprompted. It wasn’t apparent that Biden couldn’t remember the date.

It’s a political hit job. Read the transcript. There’s nothing there.

  3. Hur’s report may honestly be a new low for the republicanparty. Lying about a man’s memory of his son’s death for political points is an unbelievable level of fucked up.

This pisses me off. It should piss everyone off. Stay angry, my friends. Stay angry and vote blue

  4. I’m not quite as old as Biden, but if i was asked when my brother died i could tell you the date, but i would have to do a little math on the year. I know i was 14, i also can tell you every detail leading up to the moment when i found out. But ask me anything about the day before and i would have no idea what i did that day. I think our memory sometimes focuses on certain ‘important things and not on others. Doesnt mean that is dementia.
Now if i wouldnt remember who i ran against in an election. Or mistake the names of political leaders and location of countries. Or confuse the woman i run against in the gop race with the democratic house speaker. Then i might go see a doctor for advice.

  5. if we’re using remembering dates as a base for whether someone has a decent memory or not, someone should ask TFG when his children’s birthdays are

  6. Hilarious how hard Republicans have to work to find anything to attack Biden on.

  7. Biden volunteered May 30, then someone else says 2015, even though the year wasn’t in question.

    Hur with the hit job.

  8. The MSM is all in for Trump. That’s why when you see articles today, they all go with “nuanced”, “complicated”, “different”. Instead of stating, Hur was wrong.

  9. Watching this guy testify now while I work. I just saw one part where he was asked to read part of his report about his findings on trump. He did not look like he was enjoying that (Stopping after each sentence and the congressman told him to keep reading for about 3 sentences). That’s all I really needed to see to know this guy is partisan and was only looking to hurt President Biden. Another trump stooge.

  10. I forget my kids birth year, names, I refuse to celebrate or notice a death date! Time of year yes but nothing more.

  11. I’m so so so so so tired of ratfucking. Acting in bad faith should have serious consequences.

  12. Merrick Garland was the one who let it pass too. He’s a milquetoast pos

  13. Whether or not he could name exact date of his son’s death has absolutely zero to do with the investigation that Hur was conducting. Not one thing. Why even mention that when the investigation was about the classified documents not his memory or his son’s death. And “I didn’t disparage the president unfairly” is complete bullshit. How the fuck do you disparage some “fairly”. You don’t. Disparaging someone is wrong nothing to do with fair or not fair.

  14. And yet the claim he was struggling to remember has been out there already for a while and people will still cite it as if it were fact.

What’s the saying? A lie can travel halfway around the world before the truth can get its boots on?

  15. Gasp, you mean to tell me a republican LIED about something?!? I won’t hear of it!

  16. That the Department of Justice tolerates lowlife political hacks like Hur is appalling and demonstrates just how badly the justice system needs reform.

  17. Hur Report “Biden didn’t say X” … did you ask about X? … “No”

  18. Looks like Biden rembered the discussion better then the Special Counsel

  19. Damage is already done. They lie and watch the media do their bidding.

  20. Seems like the special counsel is the one who is forgetting things.

  21. What does his son’s death have to do with government documents anyway?

  22. Even if you assume Biden was not going to be able to recall the year of Beau’s death, and thus conclude he thought he died in 2017 because of the context of when it was brought up…how is that not “within several years” of 2015?

I was inclined to give Hurr a little benefit of the doubt. But the transcript directly contradicts his claim.

  23. My God! Biden’s memory is so bad the *transcript* forgot!

    /s to be safe

  24. So the Special Counsel lied on official government forms.

  25. I find it more unnerving that Hur resigned from the DOJ the day before his testimony. If he was still under the auspices of the DOJ, there are certain things that he can and cannot say. Since he is now “citizen” Hur, his testimony can be incredibly partisan. Since I’ve seen reports that he is being coached by trump’s people, I suspect we are in for a bumpy ride.

  26. So Hur said that Biden couldn’t remember when his son died within several years and that was proof that his memory was shot but now the transcript has been released and it turns out Biden immediately recalled the MONTH and DAY

  27. He remembered the exact date, just couldn’t remember if it was +/- 1 year. That’s extremely common, especially for something that happened almost a decade ago. I’m fact, most people use surrounding events to determine when something occurs, like “so and so was working at my job when such and such happened, so it must have been 2015.” Hell, tons of people can’t remember their anniversary. The special counsel’s and the media’s “gotcha” with this is unrealistic and targeted.

  28. Based on the testimony I saw from Robert hur today in Congress I feel qualified to say that he is a kindly fellow that unfortunately seems to suffer greatly from a mental disability, most likely brain damage, I’m not a doctor but I feel qualified to make this diagnosis from seeing him speak for a couple hours, it’s sad, really, this extensive brain damage that I am confident he suffers from

  29. I was completely ready for there to be some damaging stuff in here… but there’s not a single line from the transcript that makes Biden look bad? He’s sharp, witty and keeps telling long winded and detailed stories to Hur. And the line from Biden about being supposedly unable to recall when his son died?

    >What month did Beau die? Oh God, May 30.

This is an unambiguous flaming partisan hitjob.
