  1. I wonder who would dare investigate the disappearance of the detectives. Seems like the outcome is obvious.

  2. And this is why I don’t intend on visiting Mexico any time soon.

  3. It’s like that old photo of larger and larger tow trucks falling into the water trying to pull the next one out.

  4. I hate to say it, but the reality is all of those students are actively being sex trafficked right now, and the cops that got too close to finding out who took them are all dead.

The world is a vile place.

  5. I wonder whose job is it to solve shit like that, Mr. President?

  6. >Speaking at his daily news briefing, López Obrador said: “I hope this is not related to those who do not want us to find the youths.”

I mean, the odds are pretty good.

Mexico is a failing state. The govt’s monopoly on force is tenuous at best. Corruption is one thing, anarchy quite another.

  7. Guatemala went through a similar system of methodical incursion of government. The horrors PID put Guatemala through. Don’t let the same happen even when it’s wearing a different mask.

  8. Ok, this is the same incident I remember from years ago, not a new case.

  9. While the Narco president of mexico releases press personal phone numbers cuz they’re critical of him

  10. This is the worst version of ‘there was an old lady’ ever.
