Is this too much spaghetti to be asked ‘do you want to add more spaghetti?’ by my wife? I feel like I’m under pressure for cooking too slow or something. Just trying to chill with a bolognese, only been home 25 mins.

  1. For how many people? A serving size of uncooked pasta is 60-100g per person.

  2. The emergency has led to rationing of unprecedented scales…. it’s a sad day for ireland

  3. If the wife is the lounge staff, who’s the barman??

  4. I’ve actually taken to weighing it for fear of reprisals and disdain. Her preferred portion is 100g. Mine is 70g. Different pasta shapes, rice, spuds, couscous, lentils – all different! I have a little log in my Notepad app. Lol.

  5. Bundle of spaghetti the width of a 50c piece is about enough for 1 person is what I gauge it on. Then add a little more for safety.

  6. Allocate 60-100g dry pasta per person. Low end for starters, high end for mains.

  7. Can’t wait to see what happens over the immersion!

  8. No. That’s spaghetti for one my man. One and a half maybe. Always better too cook too much than too little.

  9. My 4yr old would eat that by himself. That’s not enough. The trick is to throw the whole pack in.

  10. IF youve time to post on reddit then youre defo cooking too slow!

  11. Always make too much spaghetti on purpose, that way you’ll never have too little.
Ridiculous behaviour to be scrimping on a 50c pack of spaghetti.

  12. Are you and your wife extremely tiny people? Like the size of bipedal ferrets???

Who are you expecting to feed

  14. A lesson from my Italian friend, if you have a ladel with a hole in the centre, filling up the hole with a bunch of dry spaghetti is portion for one. Repeat per person.

  15. Jesus christ stop being such a pansy.

She’s asking do you want to add more because she knows from past pasta experiences that you never put on enough.

Christ, you’re probably the type who’d complain about a barman asking if you want another Guinness when he sees your current one is almost gone.

  16. Dude… please let the water boil BEFORE adding the pasta in. That pic hurts.

  17. Those are great famine portions do you split a spud between the family as well?

  18. That’s the amount of spaghetti that usually ends up in the sink during my inefficient pasta draining process.

  19. She’s asking where her portion is 😂

    That’s enough for a snack for 1
