Climate change is a BENIGN and VAGUE term. Laypeople don’t understand what it means.
Carbon Based gases CO2 and CH4 represent the vast majority of the problem. The word “Poisoning” is designed to bring public awareness to a problem most don’t understand.

This is not it. Your other comments are wack and you refuse to engage in any valuable discourse. Most notably your refusal to accept the colloquial use of “poison” or the dictionary use, is dumb.
It’s confusing and not even that dire. You know what really worked for marketing OZONE HOLE. Big and scary hole in the sky. We don’t need the smart people who can parse out the semantics of exactly how the word poison applies here.
How about Human Extinction Event? Or climate crisis? Or environmental epoch. You are on the right track, I agree climate change has become banal and overused for most. We need a name that conveys the seriousness, main topic, and urgency. Ozone Hole does that. We need the equivalent, but can’t because it’s literally everything falling apart. Expect the bugs… those fuckers are winning
a battle we dont have energy to fight..
“Carbon Pollution” might be a better term, but regardless if we have 10Million people sign a petitiion, it wont do jack to move the needle of public opinion.
At least people kind of know what climate change is .. only 50% of people admit its caused by human behavior .. so I applaud the use of Carbon to keep that in peoples minds.
But a petition just wont achieve this change in attitudes.

Lose the alteration and turn it into a complete mouthful?
