“The original Woolpack” is a pub featured in the British television series “Emmerdale Farm”, located in Arncliffe in the Yorkshire Dales.
Lovely 90. 🙂👍
Nay nay Mr Wilkes,
They moved it to Esholt just outside Bradford in the ’70’s. Used to drink there occasionally as I went to secondary school nearby and they didn’t seem fussed about IDing you.
Evenin’ Mr Wilks.
I see they’ve changed the title of Emmerdale Farm. It’s just called Emmerdale now. It’s shorter, gives them time to pack in a lot more story.
Are they banded Discovery steels on the 90? They look great.
It was originally in esholt the whole little village grew up near there bern plenty of times with mates as a kid
The Falcon was a proper time warp type pub. There were no pumps just a couple of barrels on trestles behind the bar.
Beer was unceremoniously dropped into an enamel jug then dumped into a pint glass for you. Often it would be accompanied by instructions to hurry up and sup it as he was closing up to go see to his sheep.
That was a good few years since though, I dare say it is a gentrified gastro pub now.
Went there once. I can’t say I’ve ever watched Emmerdale, so it was probably wasted on me. Then I fell off my stool.
