For those who haven't heard of it yet (tho I doubt it): Pattern Energy got a massive $11B to build a super-long power line from New Mexico to Arizona and set up 3.5 gigawatts of new wind projects in New Mexico, making it one of the biggest green energy projects ever in the US (SunZia).
Also recently PEGI agreed to pay $100 million to settle investor claims related to issues around delisting from NASDAQ.
At first, I didn't think they were a solid investment choice (as NextEra seemed way more sensible for putting your money in). But now, I'm thinking maybe Pattern's got some serious potential, not just to catch up with NextEra but maybe even hit an all-time high.
For those diving into green energy bets, what's your take on SunZia project? Do you think they're heading towards a bright future?

Good, build more.
It’s always tough to build transmission – we’ll see if Congress helps out with permitting. If permitting reform sneaks through, then I’m bullish. They have some of the top modelers and devs out there. But if IX remains a huge problem, things get tricky. They also have some BTM plays that could be juicy.
Renewables are in a slump rn, but if anyone benefits from a comeback its Pattern!
