🤭!… 🤗❣️
In Venere degli stracci (Venus of the Rags),1967, the reproduction of a Greek statue, the Callipigia Venus,a metaphor for memory, relates to a multicolored pile of discarded garments, symbolizing everyday life, in a dense dialogue between past and present.
Clothing and consumerism thereof, remains an issue to be solved in the 21st century. I find it immensely fascinating how even the arson of the clothes, ends up being part of the artwork and message too.
Oh, my‼️
Venus gets to wear clothes
For change.
