This is very confusing. Certainly the bond company will know in advance when a decision is expected. They should have the funds ready in case they lose the case. Correct? How can there be any delay allowed?

Made a bet with a friend that the money for the bond came from the Saudis through back channels, on the promise of stock shares in the merger that he’s been waiting for. It’s only for $.25, but he has this weird notion that things can’t get any stranger, whilst I tend to swing for the fences…
TLDR: It’s a two part deal. Part one Insurance pays Carol, part two Trump repays the Insurance company. Trump wanted 60 days if he loses the appeal. Carol’s team cut it to 30 days.
We are waiting on the Judge’s decision.

I encourage the republican party to always and forever continue to run on these losing policies. I wonder to what degree Trump can prevent certain properties from being seized when it comes time to pay up on both the Carroll judgements and the NY civil fraud. If I were Carroll, the first thing I’d grab is Mar-a-Lago.
1. It’s locked at a value of $18million, so you know where you stand there, more or less.
2. It takes away Trump’s primary home, which would be another huge hit to his ego.
3. Kick out everyone and close the place down. Invite the FBI to scour every inch of that place for more classified documents and foreign bugs to further Jack Smith’s case against Trump.
Let Fani Willis take 40 Wall Street and Trump’s triplex. That’s right across the street from her office. Willis would have a much tougher time putting a NY padlock on Mar-a-Lago, so Carroll can probably scoop it up easily as a down payment on what Trump owes her.
