The US announced a surprise $300 million military aid shipment for Ukraine on Tuesday after [Pentagon](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/the-pentagon/) accountants found savings in a budget that was presumed to be exhausted.
“This ammunition will keep Ukraine’s guns firing for a period, but only a short period,” said Jake Sullivan, the White House’s national security adviser.
He added that the aid may only last a fortnight, leaving Ukraine outgunned on the front lines against Russia.
William Burns, the CIA’s director, warned on Monday that without more aid from the US, Ukraine could lose “significant” territory this year”, while a threat assessment by the US’s 18 intelligence agencies found the congressional deadlock was “increasingly shifting the momentum in Moscow’s favour”.

Thank god the EU is stepping up. By the time this war is over it looks like the EU will be somewhat of a military superpower in its own right given its rearming programs. EU nations have lost a lot of trust in the US to fully commit to help them in a future war and that will not come back anytime soon.
This infighting in the US government has lost the US a lot if influence globally and is doing more damage the longer it goes on. The US has lost its leadership role in Europe and is now viewed as a partner by many, how long will it take the US to fix its issues and regain lost trust?
Also I’m not saying the US hasn’t helped. It has done an amazing job but its so sad to see them lose interest and fall away as the war goes on.
Raytheon and Lockheed literally swimming in this foreign aid money.

Funny that USA govt helps Ukraine on moral and democratic grounds and yet turns it’s back on their own people suffering. They support Israel and then hand out aid packages to Palestinians…. But hey Russia is the root of all evil /s
