  1. ‘implore building owners and managers… to do the right thing’ lol they don’t give a shit about residents. Anyone culpable has buggered off years ago.

Even if they find the funds or wring insurance money it can take years for the cladding to be removed. I have been in Dalston Square for three years and we have only now just had work completed on our section (which should have been done two years ago). Tight budgets caused a lot of behind the scenes drama and work stalled for a year.

  2. Stuck in my apartment for four years now unable to sell because banks won’t lend on a B2 rating. Barratt and Firstport dragging their heals – promises of remediation on the way then more delays delays delays. I have a family now, bought the flat when I was single. My little boy has never had a garden.  I could try and buy a house with savings as a deposit. Significantly lowers my budget, though, and I have to pay extra stamp duty because it would be a second property.

  3. A landlord who wants fewer properties on the market so he can increase the rent of his flat: “wow, those greedy capitalist bastards don’t care about our safety, fellow renters. We need to demand stricter rules for buildings. We need more checks and regulations”
