This is pure devastating and will majorly impact the care people get via emergency pre hospital care be that for critical care emergencies or traumatic emergencies. It shouldn’t be closed if anything we need more provision for air ambulances in Wales hell in the whole of the UK they are a huge resource both when they are able to fly but also when they are grounded and using vehicles becuase they training and scope of practice from the clinicians is greatly needed.
Considering how many millions the Welsh Government has wasted over the years I find this decision bizarre. The Air Ambulance service in Wales should be centrally funded !
