  1. Interwar air travel is somehow both the most and least luxurious-looking thing simultaneously. If you’re interested in aviation get yourself to Croydon Airport on it’s monthly open day (first Sunday of the month).

  2. The writing on the Mill Hill photo says Lawrence Street, but I can’t figure out where it was taken. Today the road is quite narrow and residential, and that’s quite a wide high street in the photo.
