  1. It’s equally funny with or without the addition of the slightly pathetic “look how he showed those stuck up so-and-so’s in Oxford”.

  2. Borstal Boy is a delightful read if you have never read it. Highly recommend it. Funny and moving. It’s about his time in jail and then a borstal in England after getting caught as a rather bumbling 16 year old IRA operative in London in 1939.
