Russian drones freely operating in the rear of Ukrainian Army, destroying valuable assets more frequently than usual in the recent days. It signals either a lack of means to counter these drones, lack of ammunition for AA, or the army became more careless under Sirskyi

The ammo issue is killing them right now…such an important 2-3 months as we head into summer…

Although having them clustered like this is careless
Himars, patriots and other high value targets won’t be replaced, every loss is a disaster.
Starlink helping the Russians
I fear that we have reached a tipping point. Half-hearted qualitative and quantitative help over two years has allowed the Russians to iron out their biggest weaknesses. Especially in the areas of data processing and fire control, they probably had enough time to train at least a small but influential number of specialists and to create the conditions for quick work. The Russians are playing for time and putting everything they have into the war. They’ve had the time and I’m afraid it’s only going to get harder.
Or…
All the Above
Or…
None of the Above
Its election in Russia. They stockpiled all these videos for this purpose only. Some of the videos are clearly from summer so why would Russia hide them till now? On march 18 when elections are over it will be silence again.
Electronic warfare is a cat and mouse game, things like monitoring and jamming are a constant back and forth. Sometimes an advantage exists for a short period until defenses can adapt. Maybe the Russians are building more resistant drones. The lack of air defense is concerning and certainly an issue
I find it hard to believe that new CIC of the military would result in relaxed discipline down in the frontlines in a matter of months. There are several links in the chain of command between the troops on the front and the overall commander of the military.
The lines are elastic, resources are moving around some of this would be expected Ukraine will adapt, I’m guessing we’ll see drone on drone at some point. However, Ukraine is doing great running its own drone interference in Russia right now behind the lines at some big targets like refineries shutting down oil exports.
Sadly looks like there has definitely been more losses. For instance after the loss of patriot launchers we have not seen any downed Su-35/34 and the usage of fab1500 is still very high
May indeed be Starlink.
To get far behind enemy lines and report back, you need communication. The further it goes, the weaker the signal and the more jamming in you have to pass.
This does not apply if you communicate via a completely satellite network, which the opposition uses itself.
Of course Russia could have improved its own technology, but the rise in deepstrikes coincides with reports of Russia employing Starlinks. Unfortunately Musk will not be very cooperative with kicking out undesirable clients connecting in Ukraine.
They’re trying to scare the French.
Thanks in part to Starlink. Fucking Elon.
>It signals either a lack of means to counter these drones, lack of ammunition for AA,
This. Both of those.
It turns out a whole *12* Titan C-UAS systems, each with range of whopping ***3*** km, aren’t much good when drones can stay outside of this range and designate from there.
Oh, and those 12 systems? That’s for the entire country.
>more careless under Sirskyi
Lol. Obvious Russian propaganda effort.
What, did Syrskyi also melt all the snow and make it the summer of 2023 again?
If I posted garbage of this low quality it would be taken down instantly. How is this twittery up here?
I disagree with this assessment. Drones are hard to detect, engage, and shoot down. These drones have very vis camera’s that can spot things way beyond the site of a average soldier.
For Ukraine to perform offensive operations, air-cover, etc. They have to risk assets closer to the front. Every major loss is usually a result of Ukraine pushing assets closer to the front to be able to push Russians back. Need to stop Glide bombs? Push Patriots to the front. Need to start a offensive? Start storing spare ammo in a empty barn nearby, etc. It’s a trade off, and frankly this bias that Ukraine army doesn’t have to deal with the same real battlefield conditions that Russia has to deal with when attempting maneuvers.
It seems that Russia is getting better and better at war and Ukraine just worse and worse
This smells of Russian propaganda. Some of those videos are extremely old. And the key point is they mentioned Sirskyi. The dude just took over. There is no way things fall apart that quickly when you have such a large military command structure.
