  1. People said that cheap drones would be the end of Western power. The reality is that cheap drones will be the end of mid tech countries like Russia who don’t have the tech and resources to protect their critical assets.

  2. 12%… and hopefully rising.

    It’s going to be fun when they have to prioritise fuel for tanks instead of fuel for the cars of the civilians. Rising cost of fuel will piss people off.

  3. Refineries are *huge*, square kilometers in size. They are built with explosive accidents and redundancy in mind.
    That headline is misleading, and the drone strikes, while sending a signal, are in no way affecting anywhere close to 12% of Russian petroleum refinement capacity.

  4. One thing to consider is that Russia is a massive country and that means transporting fuel from refineries in Asia would be a huge problem. So effectivly it is more then that.
