What amazes me somewhat is that developers can now be presented as an injured party now, a developer that is looking to build an extra floor at that. It was a cash grab by the resident, he used his work background in his own time in a residents association bid to block a development. He either volunteered his time and expertise or he didn’t. So yeah, he is acting like he is entitled to the money. It was very stupid to put this in a letter though to solicitors, almost as stupid as making the initial payment though. The article made me dislike everyone in it.
The worst thing in the article is the appeal to ABP is taking a year due to the amount of cases. Hire and train more people. The planning system in this country is absolutely fucked.
