The story behind the Connacht GAA Air Dome

  1. I don’t get what it’s purpose is. It only has a capacity of 2k so no game worth anything will be played there.

I also don’t agree with fake surfaces in soccer and now not in GAA. It’s not the same game. Only a matter of time before we see some serious injuries too.

  2. I can’t believe this hasn’t been done before but it won’t be the last. Galway has horrendous weather to train in and I’m sure it’s one of the reasons young lads drop out. Not to mention how dark it is in the winter.

I bet loads of counties will be looking at this, especially as it only cost 3 million and you can use it for concerts too.

  3. About time – playing ball games in the dark and dreary weather is enough to put anyone off

  4. Hard to tell from the videos, but does the ball ever clip the roof during play? The dome shape makes it possible at the sidelines from the looks of things. I’m curious to know
