  1. It’s definitely not too late for him to change his mind, and he probably will after speaking to the Japanese prime minster. The Japanese are very good at the art of persuasion, and Biden seems pretty easy to persuade lol.

  2. If he chooses to block this deal, he will regret that decision for a long time.

  3. Strange that OP has a one year old account with only an handful of posts and comments, and the three comments so far are relatively new, all with very low or negative comment karma. Verrry suspicious.

  4. Back when the potential acquisition was announced, stock price jumped. Biden releases statement critical of the deal, stock price drops. Nothing actually happened either way, and Biden already says he’s not blocking anything, but money.

The title for these things should mention employee and union concerns, not the loss of Vanguard or Blackrock (the two largest investors at US Steel, respectively) portfolio values.

  5. Biden is too little too late. Trump Train incoming 2024. Vote early and vote often !

  6. Biden is considerably far to the left economically – especially on unions and trade – but everyone just pretends he’s moderate since he’s an old white guy.
