This is largely a delay tactic. She knows it would be appealed to the 11th circuit, which would take even more time. These trump judges are just trying to run out the clock because if trump gets elected then none of this matters: dictators don’t have to care about court rulings.
Which is another reason why we absolutely have to reelect Joe Biden in November. That is the only way trump will ever see justice.

The goal is to delay until noon on January 20, 2025. If Trump is sworn into office at that time, within a few minutes he will pardon himself and all of his problems go away aside from whatever goes down in Georgia (if anything ultimately).
This is the most open and shut case, he should’ve been in cuffs along time ago. Cannon is complicit in the crimes at this point for the delays.

Was she really “randomly” assigned to this case? I know that’s how it is supposed to work, but it seems super fishy that possibly the only judge to not take this case seriously happens to be assigned to it

If my fears are confirmed, and Trump: 1. gets elected and either squashes, delays, or wins via “immunity”; 2. Trump appeals to the Supreme Court and wins; or 3. Dies from a stroke before the election-
Then I hope the evidence is released about how fucking traitorous his actions were. If things are as bad as many of us imagine (giving nuclear, intel, or other state secrets) that it is made as public as possible. Will it change the mind of his supporters? Probably not. But atleast it will be in the open, public, history, and be the albatross around the gop enablers.
The public needs to know what was in those boxes and why he had them.

It’s insane she’s even allowed to be on this case. How is it fair or just to have a judge that you appointed ruling over your own case? Is it not a textbook case of conflict of interests, would that be the right term?
They should have appointed a different judge to start with.
While we should always be concerned about the way Trump and his party are attempting to hijack the legal system, I’ve long since determined that articles that are essentially “this one person thinks a thing could happen” are clickbait.
Perhaps if Cannon dismisses the case a real judge could take it up?
It’s been since June 8, 2023 that the charges had been brought and this trial hasn’t gone anywhere.
This is so insane. Boxes are still missing.
If this was ANY other defendant they would be sitting in max security pretrial detention and the only person they’d be allowed to speak to is their lawyer. Every property they owned, or might have visited, would be turned upside down, multiple times, until the documents were accounted for… or more crimes would be added on WEEKLY.
And Jack Smith will appeal and she should be impeached
This makes no sense. The charges aren’t even all about him having the documents. It’s also about obstruction and conspiracy.
